Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Proposay(“Proposay”, “we”) collects when you use Proposay (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain about where your data goes.

What we collect

  • RFP and proposal content you submit. The text of the RFP you paste, any past-proposal samples you provide, and the resulting draft. This is the core input the Service needs to generate your draft.
  • Account / contact email. If you contact support or complete a purchase, we (and our payment processor) receive the email address you provide so we can reply, deliver the Service, and send receipts.
  • Limited technical data.A free-trial usage counter is stored in your browser as an HttpOnly cookie so we can apply the “free drafts” limit. It holds only a count — no proposal content. If you choose to use your own Anthropic API key, that key is stored locally in your browser and is not retained on our servers.

How your RFP content is used — AI processing

To generate a draft, the RFP text and any proposal samples you submit are sent to Anthropic, PBC (“Anthropic”) and processed by its Claude API. Anthropic generates the draft and returns it to you through the Service. Your use of the Service for this purpose is therefore also subject to Anthropic’s privacy and usage terms. Per Anthropic’s API terms, content submitted via the API is not used to train its models. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share with a third-party AI processor.

Payment data

Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a subscription, Paddle collects and processes your payment details (such as card information and billing data) directly under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive only limited information needed to provide and support your subscription, such as your email and order status.

Data retention

Proposay runs as a stateless service and does not maintain a long-term database of your RFP submissions or generated drafts; this content is processed to produce your draft and is not retained on our servers afterward. Drafts you keep live in your own browser session until you clear them. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Paddle retains transaction records as required for its role as Merchant of Record and for tax/accounting obligations.

How we share data

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service: Anthropic (to generate drafts) and Paddle (to process payments).
  • We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Your choices & deletion requests

You can avoid submitting any content you don’t want processed, clear drafts from your browser at any time, and remove a locally stored API key by deleting it in the app. To request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (for example, support correspondence), email [email protected]and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. For payment records held by Paddle, we will help direct your request to the right place.

Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
